The Community United Methodist Church Youth Ministry is designed to provide a mixture of Christian education, games, activities, and fellowship.

All youth from the sixth grade through high school are invited and encouraged to participate in the program. It is nearly impossible to have a bad day around this great group of children because they are always there with a smile and a hug. These programs are continuing to expand out into the community.

The Big Deal

The Big Deal youth group meets every Sunday evening from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM for middle school, and high school students. Through lessons, games, and fellowship, these meetings teach youth about various aspects of our Christian faith ranging from the life of Jesus to every day relationships. The youth also have the opportunity to become involved with retreats, camps, and other activities throughout the year, including an annual mission trip.

Summer Activities

This covers grades 6 through 12 and includes trips to the beach, fellowship nights, movie nights, bowling, swimming, etc. This is also when we take our mission trip and go to camp. See Sarah Kuhns for further information.

Special Events and Activities

This ministry consists of extra events throughout the year. This year they have included beach retreats, night movies, a four day Festival of Christian music in Atlanta and a night at Disney World with Christian Rock artists.
