At Community, our Music Ministry is a multi-faceted, multi-generational program with one responsibility, to serve the Lord and to love and care for all His people. Music and related areas of interest

The Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir is available for those age 12 and up. This choir serves our congregation from September through the first week of June. The choir sings during our regular morning worship services as well as special services throughout the year. It also offers large-scale presentations during Christmas and Easter. This choir rehearses on Wednesday's at 7:30- 9:00 PM in the Church Sanctuary. Extra rehearsals will be added as necessary for the Christmas and Easter presentations.

The Gospel Choir

The Gospel Choir is also open to those age 12 and up. This choir serves as our summer choir and the work horse choir for our Music Outreach Program. Our Music Outreach Ministry prepares a Gospel Choir Program that is offered to local nursing homes, assisted living centers and other organizations on an ad hoc basis. This choir rehearses on Tuesday's at 7:00 PM for the months of June through Mid September in the Choir Room. The Choir rehearses on and ad hoc basis throughout the year for concert preparation.

The Handbell/Choirchimes Choir

The Handbell and Choirchimes Choirs are also open to those age 12 and up. This choir provides music throughout the choir year, September through May. This year our choirs will be using both the handbell and choirchimes. No experience is necessary; we provide hands-on training necessary to play and maintain the instruments. These choirs play during worship services and also on an ad hoc basis participating occasionally in music outreach. Our rehearsals are on Tuesday's, mid September through May at 7 PM in the Choir Room.

The Children's Choir and Drama Program

The Children's Choir and Drama Program is available for children in Kindergarten through 8th grade. This group prepares children's musical programs for presentation in our church and to local nursing and assisted living centers throughout the year. Our largest production occurs during Christmas with a smaller scale production prior to the close of the school year. Their rehearsals are on Wednesday's at 6:15 PM in the Choir Room for drama parts. Rehearsals are also held on Wednesday's at 4:20 PM til 5 PM as part of the Wonderful Wednesday Program.
